AFTS Addis was a big success!

The 4th edition of the Africa Fintech Summit was a huge success!

Ibex Frontier was a proud Co-organizer of the 4th Africa Fintech Summit and AFTS Addis was a jam-packed day full of informative keynote speakers, inspiring panel discussions and lots of time to connect with fellow innovators in the fintech space.  

Here are some highlights from the summit:

The summit was opened with a Welcome note by AFTS Co-organizer & Ibex Frontier's MD Zekarias Amsalu, directed by Award-winning journalist and TV correspondent Bofta Yimam as an AFTS Emcee and concluded by AFTS Chairman, Leland Rice, with an award ceremony for the Pitch Competition winners, Axiom Financials of Ethiopia!

We had four engaging keynote speakers: H.E. Dr. Getahun Mekuria (Ethiopian Minister of Innovation and Technology), Lawrence Kimathi ( Group Chief Financial Officer at KCB Group), Eyob Gebre Eyesus (Vice Governor, National Bank of Ethiopia), and Eyob Easwaran (Senior Advisor, Trade and Development Bank at TDB).

Overall the summit had lively conversations as a result of the engaging panels and diverse participants.

One feature of the AFTS summit is partnerships and collaborations and we are pleased to see AMOLE and Africa's Talking formally announcing at AFTS Addis that they will be forming a strategic partnership to revolutionize digital payments in Ethiopia.
